Local group
Leipzig
The local group in Leipzig has been in existence since September 2022. The members are planning information and fundraising events and want to raise awareness of RESQSHIP’s work. Anyone who wants to find out more about the association and sea rescue is welcome to come along. The local group meets every second Thursday at 8 pm. We want to rotate through the Leipzig districts, which is why we choose a new pub to meet in each time.
Soliflohmarkt in Leipzig in December 22
In December, the Leipzig local group took part in a brine flea market where they provided information about the situation in the Mediterranean and collected donations. Thanks to everyone who came along!
Exhibition and panel discussion in April 23
In April, the Leipzig local group was able to show pictures of Nadir in action at Horror Vacui. In addition, local artists donated paintings that enriched the exhibition. The whole thing was complemented by a panel discussion between Kamal and two crew members, Paula and Linda. Kamal shared his escape story with us and talked about the experiences he had during his flight across the Mediterranean.
