Local group member
All RESQSHIP members work on a voluntary basis. Everyone contributes what they can. We are always looking for committed people to organize information stands, help organize demonstrations or give talks. We often work together with other organizations, for example through the “Seebrücke – Schafft sichere Häfen!” initiative.
During our observation missions in the Mediterranean, we want to document the situation on the ground. It is important that the results of our work and other information are always communicated to the public immediately. This is why public relations work via our website, newsletter and social media channels is also part of the association’s work.
As we rely on donations, fundraising plays an important role! We are always on the lookout for talented people who can help us obtain donations and funding. As well as creative people who can support us in the design and distribution of advertising materials.
So there aremany ways to get involved in the cause. Perhaps you have your own ideas? Then get in touch and let us know! We are grateful for any support that helps us achieve our goals.
Whatyou can also do: Draw the attention of your acquaintances to the plight of people on the run, encourage your fellow human beings to think about it. It is often very simple steps that help.

We are always looking for people interested in public relations, fundraising, merchandise, marketing, donation management and much more. The main thing is that you are enthusiastic and creative and want to be part of a group that stands up for people in need of protection and respect for human rights. Become a supporting member
It is our humanitarian duty to help people in dire need and save them from death by drowning. As long as the causes of flight have not been eliminated and there are no sustainable solutions at a political level, people will die in the Mediterranean. We do not look away, we help.
With your supporting membership, you help us to realize this goal. With your monthly donation pledge, you enable us to plan our work reliably, as we are a non-profit organization financed by donations and membership fees. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much.
As a supporting member, you are closely linked to the association, receive regular information and have the right to attend and speak at all association meetings.
And of course you decide for yourself how much you are prepared to donate to RESQSHIP e.V. each month.
Note
Sponsoring membership is designed to be permanent. It can be terminated by declaring your resignation as a supporting member to the association. Resignation must be declared by the end of the month with effect for the following month. Contributions paid will not be refunded. The conditions agreed with the bank apply.
Crew members wanted!
For our missions in the Mediterranean Sea we always need a seaworthy, competent and well cooperating crew. Especially skippers, co-skippers, people with sailing and/or nautical experience as well as medical staff are needed. The crews for our missions each consist of seven people who serve on a volunteer basis. Our missions with the Nadir, a 19-meter motor sailer, are usually designed for two to three weeks. Professional preparation and follow-up in our base camp as well as catering costs on board are covered by the association.

Crew member
The core of our work is the missions with our ship in the central Mediterranean. On our observation missions, we document human rights violations, keep an eye out for maritime emergencies and assist in rescue operations by larger ships.
For our missions in the Mediterranean, we always need a seaworthy, competent crew that works well together.
